Do you really know Nicosia? Phaneromenis 70, in collaboration with the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, organises a series of guided tours around Nicosia! The tours are part of our ongoing cultural/anthropological programme titled “Urban Details” and are coordinated and supervised by the archaeologist and tour guide Antigoni Michael. Every tour will show you another hidden layer of Nicosia, and will make you look at the city from a new point of view!
 
All the tours will begin from our building in Phaneromeni’s square.

The secrets of barricades 19/12/2021

The first tour of the "Urban Details" program of Phaneromeni 70 starts on December 19, 2021, with the great support of the Deputy Ministry of Culture!

The tour guide Antigoni Michael, will host the historian/educator Marios Epaminondas and they will discover together with the public "The Secrets of the Barricades".

Indeed, we got so used to the image of the barricades in Nicosia that they often pass unnoticed. They seem like the natural boundaries of this divided city. However, they are products of a very recent history. Behind them lies not only the "buffer zone", but also stories from the liveliest arteries of the social and commercial activity of the capital. Let's walk along seven barricades and discover some of the secrets behind them!

Τα μυστικά του οδοφράγματος 19/12/2021

Η πρώτη περιήγηση από το πρόγραμμα «Αστικές Λεπτομέρειες» του Φανερωμένης 70 ξεκινά στις 19 Δεκεμβρίου 2021, με την υποστήριξη του Υφυπουργείου Τουρισμού!

Η ξεναγός Αντιγόνη Μιχαήλ, φιλοξενεί τον ιστορικό/ εκπαιδευτικό Μάριο Επαμεινώνδα και ανακαλύπτουν μαζί με το κοινό « Τα Μυστικά του Οδοφράγματος».

Έχουμε συνηθίσει τόσο πολύ τα οδοφράγματα στη Λευκωσία που συχνά περνούν απαρατήρητα. Φαντάζουν φυσικά όρια της μοιρασμένης πόλης. Είναι όμως προϊόν της πολύ πρόσφατης ιστορίας. Πίσω απ’ αυτά δεν κρύβεται μόνο μια «νεκρή ζώνη», αλλά και ιστορίες από τις πιο ζωντανές αρτηρίες κοινωνικής και εμπορικής ζωής της πρωτεύουσας. Ας περπατήσουμε δίπλα από εφτά οδοφράγματα και ας ανακαλύψουμε λίγα από τα μυστικά που κρύβουν πίσω τους.

Προσοχή, η περιήγηση κρύβει εκπλήξεις!
