REFLECT
16.02.26
The third workshop, Reflect, explored writing as a method of self-discovery and emotional expression. Guided by Jamila Schabbing, the session encouraged participants to connect with their memories, feelings, and senses through a combination of visual stimuli, guided reflection, and creative writing.
The workshop began with participants selecting a photograph from a collection of images taken in Cyprus. They were invited to spend time observing the image and reflecting on the emotions, memories, and associations it evoked. Through a series of questions and prompts, participants gradually developed personal connections to the photographs and the stories they suggested.

Following this initial reflection, participants took part in a guided dream journey designed to stimulate imagination and encourage deeper exploration of the subconscious. During this immersive exercise, they were invited to focus on sensory experiences and emotional responses, paying attention to what they could see, hear, feel, or imagine.
Afterwards, participants translated these experiences into written form. There were no restrictions regarding language, format, or length, allowing everyone to express themselves freely and authentically. The workshop concluded with conversations in pairs, where participants shared their texts and reflected on the creative process, creating an intimate space for listening and exchange.
